At the core of our business are our 4 CNC routers, each under 5 years old and finely tuned for the fast and accurate production of components. Our experience in running, maintaining and understanding these machines is paramount to their success and we keep a close eye on them. Each machine has a powerful 9KW HSD spindle meaning we can cut deeper and faster than most CNC machines, cutting the same parts several times faster than other machines will save you money! We have recently invested in new vacuum pumps for all of our machines now using Elmo Reitschle C-VLR 301 350m3/Hr pumps. This allows maximum vacuum on the bed of the machine even after we have cut through the sheets. This means we don’t have to tag parts very often, and if we do we will always clean up the edges. A higher holding power will also equate to better accuracy and a finer cut edge.
Our programmers know all the tricks to utilise every part of the material. Our auto nesting software will arrange the parts by rotating them and keeping them a set distance from each other. The result is minimal material wastage, again saving you money. The tooling used is also key to a successful CNC machine, we use only the best quality Italian tools and know exactly what tool to use at every point to avoid chipping and damage to the parts.
We are also able to flip parts into a jig to cut side holes out using our pillar drill. We can even cut drill jigs to cut side holes on out pillar drill. With our 3D shaping software there isn’t much that we can’t cut on our routers!
To summarise here’s what we can do with our routers:
• Profiling of sheets up to 100mm thickness
• Any sheet material can be cut up to aluminium hardness
• Hardwoods and sculpture are our speciality!
• Pocketing and drilling to design
• Bevelled edges, round overs and any surface shape that can be cut top down
• Sheets sizes up to 2050mm x 3100mm
• Parts can be flipped to achieve details on the reverse side
• Longer parts (+3100mm) can be indexed and rotated
• All edges will be free of burr and all dust removed prior to dispatch
Once cutting is complete, parts will be carefully packaged and sent using one of our trusted dedicated couriers or via a fully insured pallet service. Either way you’ll be sure to get your parts quickly without damage
